hosting service provider that specializes in ESRI software,
announced today that Map The Vote has selected the company to
provide a managed hosting platform to support the firm’s
campaign management mapping application in the upcoming presidential
election.
Map the Vote, LLC, grew out of a network of GIS professionals
in California's San Francisco Bay area dedicated to matching
GIS skills to the needs of progressive electoral efforts.
Following several months of application development and a
list of enhancement projects, the organization turned to help
the final GOTV stage of the campaign.

Under a one year agreement, Metropolis is providing Internet
connectivity, networking, security and a number of managed
services, including server administration, monitoring and
backup services. Map the Vote provided the server hardware
and software. The technology used to power the system includes
ESRI ArcIMS and Microsoft SQL Server running on Windows 2003
Server.
