Speakers from ESRI, Intergraph, MapInfo, and Autodesk will be on hand to give presentations and the CalGIS 2004 planning committee has added a new GIS Immersion Day for intermediate & advanced training in both software solutions and targeted interest areas.

David Hunsinger, CEO at Metropolis, and Mark Perry, CTO at GeoPrise, will be leading a GIS Immersion Day Session that focuses on Internet GIS deployments using Metropolis' Internet infrastructure & operations and GeoPrise.NET, a wizard-driven rapid application development environment that operates in conjunction with ESRI's ArcIMS. The demonstrated solutions will cover live examples of parcel based query/mail-out notification, document hyper-linking, CIP project management, economic development, and utility viewers for drainage, sewer, and transportation. The session will be conducted at a state-of-the-art Internet Data Center one block from the Convention Center. The session will include a brief tour of the facility and a brief description of the technology that drives hosted Internet GIS.

Metropolis staff, along with the firm's solution partners, Telemorphic and GeoPrise, will be in booth #303 demonstrating a number of Internet-based GIS solutions that rely on ESRI ArcIMS and Metropolis Internet infrastructure.
